2020 IAACS Annual Conference- Postponed until September 12- 14, 2021

Message from our President:

Good morning all,

We have put a lot of thought into this and have had many discussions about the conference for this year. Times are tough and getting the group together may feel right, we needed to think about if it is the safest and best financial decision. With so much still unknown about when things will start getting back to what we will come to know as the new normal, decisions needed to be made. As a Board we took into account how our member companies feel about travel, the likelihood of turnout in comparison to the effort of planning the meeting, and costs associated with the meeting including potential losses the Region could take. It was determined that it is best to forego the annual conference this year. Our 2020 conference will be postponed to September 12- 14, 2021, still at the same amazing location- Great Wolf Lodge Kansas City. Our Kansas City team has put a lot of work into the meeting thus far and did an incredible job working with the hotel. Our Region will have no financial penalties in postponing the meeting and will still be getting the $99 a night room rate for 2021. While we will miss seeing everyone this year, ensuring we follow any government restrictions that may still be placed and keeping our members safe if the number one priority. We hope to see everyone and their families next year.

If you are looking for a conference to go to this year, as of now the Southeast still has theirs planned. It is scheduled for August 23- 25 in Nashville. www.iaase.net/2020-annual-seminar. With it being in Nashville, that is still relatively close for our region. Please consider supporting one of our neighboring regions.

Another reminder about the NSIPA virtual conference, April 27- 29. There is still time to sign up. https://www.nsipavirtualconference.org/.

As always, stay safe and stay connected.
